“I guess it’s started,” one of the mercenaries muttered, exhaling a weary sigh as they watched the ritualists conduct their ceremony to honor the Moon Goddess Cryas.
Prince Davey O’Rowane, the Saint of the Continent, had entrusted them with a task. Though he had warned them about the dangers it entailed, the reality of the task so far felt different from what they were told.
The first assignment was reconnaissance.

The new mission was far more challenging—nearly impossible to complete for anyone without intimate knowledge of the area, like the mercenaries had been given. They had to channel every ounce of their skill and expertise to construct a massive magic formation. Its profound difficulty had led to numerous mercenaries going missing.
