Chapter 32: Hostage
Alice sat in her room. It was extremely large and spacious. She had recovered from the effect of the poison that Seal had thrown in the air. She couldn’t recall how she got back here but she had a faint memory of what she saw before passing out.
She had seen Dominic come in between the sledge hammer of Seal. She had witnessed him go head on with the hammer. She saw it bash onto his head. What the hell had happened! Damn! If Dominic was actually hit by the heavy hammer of Seal, then he ought to have been dead by now.
She leaped up from bed and sat up suddenly. Her heartbeat began to pound heavily. She could not let him die due to her own course of action. She had to find him and heal him. He had to be recovered.
She got up from the bed and looked at her mirror. It was then, she noticed she had a bracket on her neck. She stared at the mirror in confusion. She hated necklaces and ornaments and she had never had this on. Besides this was not hers.
She examined the necklace on her neck on the mirror. The silver lining of the beads and the heavy middle pendant on it. It seemed to be ancient and traditional. She couldn’t make out she goy this on.
She decided to overlook it. She went to her wardrobe to get her weapon. She opened it with a single flap and before her were armoury. Swords of different sizes, spear, penknives of poison. She had a collection of handpicked weapons.
She was obsessed with weapons. She also knew how to use them well and right. She picked up two swords and inserted three penknives into her sleeve.
Then she applied an ointment on her body. She was applying an anti poison cream she had made herself. Being a Random Ghost did not mean she was utterly useless. She had some special skills.
"What if he is already dead? Damn! I can’t let that be. I have to protect him from danger. He can’t die because of me." Alice said as she blushed lightly.
