"But your grandfather selected prestige over his daughter and that very next day your dad took her away and I didn’t get to see their marriage. "
"Honey, I am thankful to god for making me live to see your marriage. My last wish to see you happy and settle down with a happy family has at last been fulfilled" she said, wiping her tears away.
"Take this-" she said as she passed the box to Brina.
"This is a bridal hair pin I personally got made for your mother. I wanted to give it to her but I couldn’t"
"It might not be as expensive and beautiful as the Royal heirlooms here, dear. But could you please wear it for this selfish grandmother? She is really desperate to see her daughter in her beautiful granddaughter and fulfil her another dying wish" Brina’s grandmother said.
Brina smiled and nodded her head, as a tear rolled down her cheek.
"Of course, I will, grandma. I am actually very happy that you gave it to me"
Expensive things might be beautiful but that can’t be compared to the things that hold meaning and emotions in it. They are priceless and precious.
