Kogan landed forcefully, sending small rocks flying in all directions.
Blood poured from his mouth onto the ground like a waterfall.
Taking a deep breath, he grabbed Hinako's hand, and they started running uphill.
Hinako couldn't understand the nature of these sounds or what was happening, but from Kogan's reaction, she knew it was something dangerous.
Both of them were pushing beyond their limits—though their conditions were hardly comparable.
She was just a girl with a frail body, yet reaching this stage was truly admirable.
With every step Kogan took, blood burst from his mouth, and his mind grew hazy.
Throughout the entire climb, he kept repeating one thing.
"There wasn't much left."
