Chapter 49: A Heavy Decision
"How long are you going to keep me like this?" Clard asked.
Raiga glanced at him, then looked back toward the corridor leading into the Ant Bee nest. "Until the leader of the Ant Bees arrives. You must die by his hand."
Clard looked confused. "I already killed their leader. Don’t you know that the leader of the Ant Bees was the Prince of Ant Bee?" Clard laughed, pointing toward Niva’s corpse lying not far from where he was. "The body you tidied up earlier was their leader. That was the Prince of Ant Bee."
Raiga gave a small smile. "You’re very wrong."
Clard turned. "What do you mean?"
Raiga pointed toward the entrance hole into the Ant Bee nest. "That’s your answer."
Clard looked in the direction Raiga pointed. Right then, he saw a figure he had never seen before walking alongside Tamae and the demon woman. Behind them were countless Ant Bees. Upon seeing them, Clard swallowed hard. He realized that the ones he defeated were only a fraction of the Ant Bee colony.
"How can there still be so many of them?" he muttered.
He didn’t focus on Alvaric, who was walking toward him. But when Alvaric was very close, both Raiga and Brukk immediately showed their respect. Raiga didn’t even dare to lift his gaze, as if he were terrified.
Clard didn’t understand. "Why are you..."
A second later, one of his arms was severed and fell to the ground. At first, there was no pain. But after a few seconds, Clard screamed in agony. At the same time, he felt a terrifying aura pressing down on his entire body.
