The curtains were pulled.
Kieran’s bedroom was bathed in the soft glow of moonlight
The air was filled with something that made Autumn’s chest ache.Or maybe it was just his touch. The way he stood there, still holding her in his arms.
He laid her down on the silk sheets carefully with reverence...a reverence that contradicted the roughness of before...the way he used to throw her around...did she miss it?
Yes... No...
It was starting to feel weird... like some fucked up lament playing inside Autumn for no reason... What was wrong with her? Was her menstrual dates near? Why was she getting too emotional with everything? It had to be her hormones!
His hands traced her body like she was sacred.
"You are so fucking beautiful," he murmured, his voice rough with emotion as well.
" Am I? " Autumn, as stupid and silly as ever. Well... he would laugh... but he did not.
His fingers brushed over her collarbone, down the curve of her waist, as if memorizing her. "I could spend forever like this... just touching you."
Autumn shivered, her skin alight under his gaze.What was up with him tonight? Too drunk? Didn’t look like that. His gaze held focus...and sorrow. "Then why don’t you?" She couldn’t help but push.
