Chapter 127: Thinking of the Past
Inside the barrier, Lu Tao looked around him and could barely see anything outside of it.
He had to use his supervision to see where they were going. But what surprised him was that both his brother and sister-in-law didn’t seem to have a problem with navigation because of the barrier.
He didn’t ask anything, however, because they were in the middle of something dangerous, or at least, that was what he thought.
They were about to enter the mall, so, of course, he thought that they were going to experience a more brutal battle than the one they had just fought.
Lu Zhen lifted the shutter doors and inside was a glass door that already had cracks because many zombies had been hitting it in an attempt to break it and go out to hunt when they smelled the three of them.
Without wasting any time, Lu Zhen made a ball of flames and hurled it at the glass door, which melted like hot butter.
In fact, he had found that since the previous night when he touched the meteorite, the quality of his flames had also improved. His strength had unquestionably increased and his flames were hotter.
Before, he could melt metal within a minute, but now, he only needed a few seconds for the metal to melt. When it came to zombies, they would melt instantly when they came into contact with his flames.
What is more, he didn’t need to set the whole body on fire, just a small ball landing on a zombie would spread in the blink of an eye and wherever it touched would turn to dust and disappear.
The reason he had not attacked the zombies directly with his flames was to both save energy and to avoid melting the crystal cores inside the brains of the zombies.
However, he planned on experimenting later and discovering if the crystal cores could be preserved even in such high heat. He wasn’t sure, but he had a feeling that this apocalypse was different from the one Leng Pan had described.
