Chapter 112: Improvement in Superpower Control.
Lu Tao came back with a glass of water. He went straight to the bed and placed the glass on the bedside table before helping his mother to sit up and lean on the head board.
He then held the glass to her mouth and urged her to drink.
Li Yunjia was amused by how her son was trying to take care of her so awkwardly and how he thought that drinking water could help.
However, she was feeling a little thirsty and decided to hydrate since the water was already there. Taking small sips, Li Yunjia drank the entire glass.
But she soon realized that something was a miss. She was so drained before that she couldn’t even lift one finger, but at that moment, she could feel strength returning to her limbs and she could swear that she could even run a marathon at that moment.
How was that possible? Did water really have such an effect? She didn’t believe it one bit. But she was aware that it was because of the water that she had gotten better.
Moving her body to sit more comfortably on the bed, she looked at her son who was somewhat avoiding her gaze and knew that she had guessed correctly.
That water was no regular drinking water. It was mixed with something else. But what was it exactly?
Looking at her son who was fidgeting even though he tried to hide it, she still asked the question her son probably didn’t want to answer.
"Where did that water come from?"
"From the water dispenser in the corridor near the kitchen." Lu Tao decided to play dumb and answered the question in a twisted way, which was of course, not what his mother was asking.
