Chapter 102: Putting People in Their Place
Leng Pan and Lu Zhen still didn’t know about this. The others hadn’t had the opportunity to tell them about the plans of some of their neighbors to freeload off of others without risking anything.
So, Leng Pan was quite puzzled when Lu Tao mentioned neighbors arguing about borrowing supplies.
"What are you talking about?" She asked as she sensed some juicy gossip from the expressions of the three people.
"Some neighbors from a lower floor were discussing going out to search for supplies.
They are husband and wife. The husband suggested going outside to look for supplies because they were running low on food, but his wife objected saying it was too dangerous to go out. It broke into an argument....." Lu Tao went ahead and explained what had happened that day.
Even Lu Zhen was shocked by the audacity of that woman. How could she talk about using others so righteously without any shame?
Moreover, she didn’t even care that her actions could lead to the premature death of others.
It was better not to associate with such people.
The door was knocked a few more times but they all remained indifferent.
