Chapter 75: First Outing
Leng Pan and Lu Zhen went to their apartment to change clothes. Since they weren’t going to practice the use of their superpowers that morning, they had to prepare themselves.
They wore stabproof clothes underneath regular cargo jackets. It didn’t matter whether the weather was still a little hot as they would be riding motorcycles.
It was by a stroke of luck that in her previous life, Leng Pan had used riding as a way to distress. After all, working hard in school and graduating early then entering the workforce at the age of twenty-two wasn’t something just anyone could achieve.
Moreover, working so hard brought a lot of stress and baggage. To prevent herself from falling into depression, she had started riding as a way to distress because the speed and the wind running through her hair made her feel like she was living.
Therefore, she had no problem riding a motorcycle alone. So, she could ride alone.
After changing clothes and wearing riding shoes, the two left their apartment and took the elevator to the garage. With the meteorites falling and breaking most of the electric cables within the country, it was a miracle how some parts still had power.
But Leng Pan wasn’t going to complain. If they didn’t have power, she would have to descend the stairs and by the time she gets to the garage, she would be out of commission and unable to go anywhere.
Now that she thought about it, they should probably start getting some practice by walking up and down the stairs before the elevator becomes useless later.
If they are already used to using the stairs, they won’t have to worry about being unable to move as they please. What is more, it is also a kind of exercise that could strengthen the body and build stamina.
