Leng Pan of course knew what he was going to say. She had read the book after all, and to emphasize the male lead’s love for the second female lead, such details as relatives sending women to him and him kicking them out without mercy and falling out with said relatives were explained.
But she didn’t think it was necessary to fuss over such trivial things.
"Hello Uncle Li. Lu Zhen and I got our marriage license yesterday, that’s why he didn’t go to work. But we came to pick the food you have prepared to deliver for celebration. Thank you for your hard work." Leng Pan interjected and saved the old man from embarrassment.
"Ah!! That’s good to hear. You can use the food truck at the back to deliver the food. Take everything and come back for what I am making.
I made all the orders for three days. I wanted to rest tomorrow, but hearing your good news, I will spend tomorrow making desserts for you to distribute too. Something as significant as marriage needs us to give out sweets, not just food." Uncle Li was happy that the young girl had saved his skin and offered more things.
"Okay, thank you Uncle Li." Leng Pan replied and grabbed Lu Zhen’s hand as she led him to the back of the restaurant to check the food truck.
"Make sure you add candied fruits in the sweets you make. They are Panpan’s favorite." Lu Zhen said to his uncle as if he was giving orders to his subordinate.
