"The meteorites that fall carry a certain type of gas that when inhaled will change people’s DNA. Those affected will either turn into zombies or awaken a superpower. Unfortunately, many do not awaken but turn into zombies. Others remain unaffected and are just normal people. Bai Yinyin is one of those who remain normal."
Leng Pan explained. Actually, she never understood the author of the book. Since Bai Yinyin was the female lead, she should be powerful with all the advantages, but apart from having the protagonist’s halo that allows her to use other people for her own benefit, she doesn’t possess her own strength. It was weird.
"Then we will worry about that later. Did you awaken a superpower?" Lu Zhen asked. He hoped she had because that way she could protect herself.
"Yes, water element superpower. And you awakened a mutated fire element. It was the strongest superpower I had ever seen. If it weren’t for me holding you back, you would have been standing at the top by the end of the second year." Leng Pan lamented, blaming herself for being blind.
Huh!! Since when did she start treating herself as the person who had experienced all that? But that was good too.
"You could never hold me back, if I wanted to stand at the top I am sure I would have found a way. All I want is to be with you."
Lu Zhen said as he lowered his head and planted a light kiss on her forehead.
"You said you have been buying supplies, did you put them in your parents’ villa?" Lu Zhen asked.
"No, that is the other thing I wanted to talk to you about. One of the reasons Bai Yinyin killed me in the previous life, and why she has been pestering me everyday recently." She replied.
