Chapter 8: Going to the Company
Forty minutes later, Leng Pan had a well packed lunch for two and left the restaurant. She wanted to go to Lu Zhen’s company and have lunch with him. Since she had decided to get together with him, she thought it was important to build a closer relationship.
And having meals together could help to close the gap created between them by the previous Leng Pan’s indifference.
However, as she got into her rented truck, she hesitated. She knew the apocalypse was coming and shouldn’t worry about what people think, but she didn’t want to embarrass Lu Zhen.
So, in the end she drove the truck back to the villa and used the Hummer Lu Zhen had delivered that morning.
When she arrived at the Lu Group, it was already noon and the employees were already leaving for their lunch break.
It was her first time at Lu Zhen’s company and didn’t know how to get to his office. She wanted to surprise him with lunch and had decided not to call ahead.
She parked her car in the public parking lot and went to the reception.
The receptionist was just about to have her lunch. Since she is the first point of contact with visitors in the company, she couldn’t leave her post.
"Hello, can I help you?" The receptionist asked Leng Pan as soon as she saw her stop in front of her desk.
