Chapter 560: Complete And Whole
After one year...
"Congratulations!" Rui greeted Cali on her graduation with a bouquet in his hands as soon as the ceremony ended.
Cali was smiling brightly as she accepted the bouquet. Her husband stayed with her for those two years that she was studying at country D. Rui managed to find an opportunity and practiced his residency at the Yang hospital subsidiary at country D to be with her.
"We can now go back and focus on making babies as we promised to your grandpa," Rui teasingly whispered in her ear. He was thoughtful enough to wait until Cali finished her culinary art school.
He wanted Cali to enjoy the life she wanted and not push her too hard into married life after their engagement, neither did he want to put pressure on her for being a mother this early, since she was still young and besides he was willing to wait till she was ready, for when she wanted to start a family.
Their marriage during those times was not perfect. Like normal couples, they too did quarrel sometimes, had some ups and downs but along the way, all that helped them to grow in each other’s arms. For Cali, Rui was the best husband because he was too patient when it came to her.
Her cheeks reddened as she whispered, "I also have a surprise for you, for being a good husband all this time... Later... When we get home..."
Rui chuckled and suddenly could not wait for that surprise.
He drove the car in the opposite direction so Cali asked, "Aren’t we going home?"
"This is such a special occasion and you think I will just let my sweetheart eat a simple dinner at home?" he said with a grin.
Cali could already fathom where they were going.
