Chapter 557: You Deserve This
Days passed by and it was finally the day of Cali’s surprise for Rui. It was the weekend and Rui woke up early but he was surprised that Cali was no longer in bed.
He went out of the room and saw Cali with Yera preparing breakfast.
"Come and sit... The table is ready..." Cali said with a bright smile.
Soon Xander joined them. Yera looked at Rui and said, "Would you mind if I borrow Cali from you this morning? I want to visit a friend and Xander does not want to accompany me."
"Sure, Yera," Rui answered with a smile though he suddenly felt confused as he looked at Xander suspiciously. Xander seemed occupied with eating and was not commenting at all.
’What’s wrong with this clingy dude?’ he mused because he was so used to Xander who often followed his wife like a leech and now he suddenly did not want to accompany her!
’Did they quarrel?’ he worriedly thought. He looked and observed but it seemed that there was nothing to get worried about since Yera was smiling a lot.
After breakfast, Xander pulled Rui into the garden and said, "Play chess with me for a while..."
"What’s going on?" Rui asked as they settled on the chair and table outside.
"What do you mean?" Xander commented as he arranged the board on the table.
"You’re the clingy husband and suddenly you don’t want to accompany Yera?" he pondered.
