Chapter 550: Straight Home
Rui had started getting annoyed with Candice’s clinginess towards Cali. She was even holding Cali’s hand, the hand that only he was supposed to be holding. All the while he just walked at the back, following the two women who seemed to be getting closer by the minute.
"Seriously?" he annoyingly whispered before he sat in front of them in the university canteen, for lunch.
Candice only chuckled seeing how crumpled Rui’s face was.
"Hey, what’s with all the frowning? We will all get indigestion if you don’t stop your frowning." Candice teased.
Rui did not reply but only crumpled his face more. Candice was about to tease him some more but she felt someone’s presence so she quickly said, "You two enjoy lunch... I will leave for a while."
"Good," Rui unconsciously answered, making Candice laugh and said, "I will be back fast though, dear."
As soon as Candice left, Rui complained, "I’ve been missing you so much. Can’t you sneak out tonight and sleep in my room instead?"
Cali gave him an awkward smile and said, "Hmm, I can but I don’t think that would be a good idea."
Rui pouted his lips and snorted, "I guess you’re not missing me as much as I’m missing you."
Cali grabbed Rui’s hand and gently squeezed it. She wanted to tell Rui what Candice told her but it could jeopardize the operation so she controlled herself and instead said, "I miss you too. Later, I will see if I can sneak out for like an hour or so. Is that okay?"
Rui shook his head. How come Candice was always a pain in the ass. He honestly felt something weird with Candice staying with them for so long so he would discuss this matter with Xander, later.
