Chapter 544: In-Laws Were The Best
Xander was feeling very excited. They were currently on a private plane going to Rui. It had been a while since they met Rui and Cali because of the surgery and everything.
"Darling, do you think Cali will recognize us? It will be the first time she sees us post the surgery." Xander commented as he shared lunch with his wife in their luxury cabin.
They intentionally did not show themselves to Cali during her period of recovery. It was only Dion who was there since Cali already saw him the moment she opened her eyes. But Yera did not fail in monitoring Cali’s condition through Dion and assisted her brother as much as she could.
"She won’t... But we will somehow look familiar. I’m not even sure if it will be good for Cali to regain her memory. The possibility of episodes of severe headache would be very high if that happens." Yera pointed out.
Cali was a very rare special case. She, who did not believe in miracles before, somehow considered Cali’s case a miracle given Cali could still manage to live like a normal person because in most cases, the patient would have severe complications and parts of the body would stop functioning normally.
With Cali, everything was back to normal, except she lost a part of her recent memory. For Yera, that was much better than not seeing Cali with her cheerful and normal life at such a young age. That was why it was important that Cali didn’t miss her routine exercises and her physical therapy.
"Oh, I’m so excited to tease Rui..." Xander burst and Yera shook her and murmured, "Yeah, it’s so obvious, darling. You don’t even need to voice it out, it’s way too evident from watching you smiling and chuckling on your own.."
Xander laughed and suddenly pulled his wife into an embrace.
"I will make sure to make the most out of our vacation so hurry up and finish your food. I will clean up first," he whispered with a grin, then gave her cheek a smacking kiss before he stood up to brush his teeth.
