At Lim’s Villa
Shan had been sighing for several times already while waiting for Josh in their bedroom. She was on the bed already waiting for him while the latter talked to his family to hand over important things about the resort before leaving for their flight tomorrow morning.
She had this unexplainable feeling about Josh’s decision in going with her to her home country.
She had tried a few times to convince Josh not to accompany her, but he consistently insisted on going along with her. She came out of her thoughts when she heard the clicking of the door and saw Josh entering the room.
She thought of talking to him once more and asking him to think again before making a decision.
"Are you sure you’re confident about going with me?" Shane asked him for the last time as soon as he was inside their bedroom.
Josh frowned at her and said tempestuously, "How many times do you plan to ask me that? I have already arranged everything. Don’t you think I’m not yet confident about my decisions enough for you to stop asking me that, Shane?"
Shane bit her lips in hesitation. She wanted Josh to go with her, but she was contemplating a lot on the whole idea. She did not want Josh to feel responsible for her for the sake of marriage done to save her. Neither did she did not want any of them to get too attached with each other because they had married for an absurd reason and just to save her life.
She knew Josh had married her out of pity, and she married Josh out of desperation, though she had started developing a little feeling for him lately, but that couldn’t be termed as love. Nothing good aligned at all in both directions.
She was in her own zone that she did not notice when Josh crawled on the bed and climbed on top of her, pressing her down with squinted eyes.
