Chapter 91: Talk With Sense Sometimes
Xander gave Yera the space that she requested. Although he missed her so badly, he tried his best to control himself. He was dying inside as the days passed by. He went back to sleeping on the couch in their room, and Yera no longer came to rest in his private room either. She now used the on-call room if she needed to rest.
Xander hoped that it would not take long for Yera’s anger to dampen. This heart-rending phase needed to end soon because otherwise, he would go crazy. He didn’t want to end up doing some stupid things, like kidnap her and lock her up with him somewhere just so he could be with her.
Xander sighed at his own silly thoughts. Tomorrow he would go to a team-building retreat of Yera’s group and would stay there for five days. He planned to woo her again, starting tomorrow, because he believed he had given her enough space already.
His thoughts were interrupted by his assistant’s voice. "Sir, it’s time for you to drink the herbal supplement," reminded Assistant Ron as he handed Xander the supplement.
"Did Yera also take this?" Xander asked before he took it from Assistant Ron’s hand and drank it. "Yes, Sir. Without fail, according to her assistant," Assistant Ron answered. He already checked into it beforehand because he knew his Boss would ask him about it. Both Secretary Ness and he were also trying their best to make the couple reconcile and could clear the misunderstanding soon because they could see how Xander and Yera were suffering. Their sad eyes said it all.

Yera had just finished examining her last outpatient for the day when Rizie asked if she had any plans afterward. "Doc, how about we go outside? You look so down lately, so I think you need some fresh air," suggested Rizie as she handed Yera her daily herbal supplement.
Yera smiled before she drank the supplement. Several days had passed, and she was grateful to Xander for respecting her wish and giving her some space. She did not feel like talking to him yet because she was still upset. Deep inside, she wanted to trust Xander, but doubts were also eating her from within... She was really confused... She was really hurting from the thought that the thing that really mattered to Xander was her body.
"See, Doc, you’re beside yourself again. Why do I feel like you have some problems in your marriage? Although I’m not married and I’m inexperienced, but who knows, sometimes something useful could come out of my mouth when I give someone else a piece of advice. So, shoot and try me. Besides, I’m the safest person you can talk to since I don’t know your husband," Rizie convinced Yera with a smile as she sat in front of her. Yera smiled back and said, "Let’s go to the rooftop and get some fresh air there, then?"
