Chapter 358: Robbing Mother-in-law again
Madam Caroline was raving mad as she stared at her phone, this was the fourth alert she was receiving. The numbers kept coming in little amounts like it was a deliberate attempt to make her go mad.
"Beep!" another notification came in.
"Ahhhh!" she screamed and threw her phone against the floor. Her forehead was popping out veins from the amount of anger she was holding in.
She had called her bank manager and even hackers to track Maverick and stop him from stealing all her money, but they couldn’t do anything!
"Lu Ren!" she gritted her teeth as regret washed over her.
Madam Caroline believed that she was suffering right now because she went to cause trouble at Maverick’s mansion.
Two days ago, Madam Caroline went in search of Maverick and the others. Since they’ve accepted Piper, she thought they should accept her too, but the security at the gate didn’t allow her in.
As she was forcing herself to be let in, she saw Valen’s car coming. Madam Caroline thought she could make the child bring her into the compound but was disappointed that the spoiled brat didn’t even stop to talk to her, so out of annoyance, she picked up a stone from the floor and threw it after the car.
The stone hit the rear mirror of the car, causing the mirror to be shattered. So Madam Caroline thought that was enough for Maverick to come for her. Unbeknownst to her, Maverick was carrying out his wife’s task.
Madam Caroline continued to grit her teeth with every notification until she stopped hearing the beeping sound; She picked up her phone to check her balance.
"Lu Ren!! You bastard!!!!!" She roared as tears gathered in her eyes. The billion dollars that was in her account has only $1 left.
