Cheng Yu woke up to an intense stare. She sat up with a start. "What is it?"
Cedric shook his head that was being supported by his hand. "I’m just happy. I can finally confirm that you really are my girlfriend. I thought I was dreaming."
She didn’t know what to do with him. "Is that why you didn’t sleep a wink? Your eyebags are swollen and dark."
He once again shook his head, looking embarrassed when he was exposed. "I was afraid that I would wake up to find that it was all a dream, so I didn’t dare to fall asleep."
She pinched his face with a chuckle. "You are not dreaming, silly."
He hugged her and kissed her lips once again, only then did he calm down.
"I’ll go and make breakfast." She rolled off the bed, feeling hungry.
He followed her to the kitchen to obediently continue taking lessons from her. However, his mind was filled with the softness and sweetness of her lips; he didn’t grasp a word of what she said. In the end, he wrapped his arms around her waist.
She giggled as she let go of the spatula in her hand. "You didn’t hear anything, did you?"
She found it surprising that she was able to tolerate the feel of a man’s arms around her. In fact, she even liked it. After her horrible encounter with her stepfather, she had thought that she would never be able to tolerate a man’s presence, let alone kiss and hug.
