Chapter 336: unwanted company

I stared straight ahead, refusing to acknowledge Roy as we kept walking in the direction of our bedroom. My entire body felt tense and I hated that Roy was walking with me right now. He was the reason I left the dining room without actually eating anything. Damn the too nice San for suggesting that Roy sees me off.
I tried increasing my steps but Roy did the same, and that infuriated me further. Angrily, I stumbled to a stop and whirled around to glare at him, lips twisted into a sneer.
"You can leave now. I’m fine." I muttered and he rolled his eyes before reaching down to place a hand against my forehead, one which I quickly batted off before glaring at him.
"Keep your hands to yourself, and go back to your boyfriend." I breathed out and when he stepped closer, I instantly grew tense.
"He knows I’m here. And I just wanted to confirm if your health is fine." He responded smoothly and I rolled my eyes in irritation.
"Well you can go back now, I’m fine." I bit out, feeling like he was here right now because of pity. That might also be why San asked him to see me off, because they could probably all see how bad I was fairing. It made me feel extremely self conscious and bared open.
"I’ll see you all the way to your room." He informed me smoothly and I let out a frustrated sigh before whirling around and resuming walking towards my room. He resumed walking beside me and the silence began to stretch out between us but I was glad he wasn’t breaking it. I wasn’t in the mood to speak to him.
When we finally got to my bedroom, I let out a relieved sigh. A whoosh of his scent drifted into my lungs at once and I stiffened a little before slowly exhaling. I reached for my door handle without glancing back at Roy, but before I could touch the door handle, he grabbed it first and held it firmly. I stiffened, waiting for a few moments before slowly turning around to glare at him.
