Chapter 330: Jules
Jules pov
I scratched the kitten behind its ears and it purred and bared its throat some more, making me laugh softly at the cuteness of it all. I haven’t gotten the time for the cute kitten till right now since after we arrived from the demon clan, I had instantly gone into heat and had only finally been able to resume my normal life today. Thinking of the fact that I actually had a heat was still a little embarrassing and I’ve still refused to let myself think of all those things Blaze claimed I did while in the middle of my heat.
"What are you gonna call it?" Kim asked as he noticed my presence on stepping in here. He walked up to me and crouched before the cat and he reached out to strike the kitten as well. Kim was the one who cared for the kitten throughout the time I wasn’t available and I had already thanked him for that.
"I’m not sure." I responded honestly before picking the kitten up and rising to my feet. The kitten purred as I placed it against my chest, snuggling into me and making my chest squeeze tight. I knew my mind hasn’t been playing mind tricks when it kept pushing at me to take it along with me while leaving. It had been the weakest and smallest out do the rest of the kitten there but I ended up liking it at first glance. It reminded me of myself in a way, I had been that way in the midst of my family; but at the end of the day, I had ended up rising up and also achieving great things.
"You should call it ’Jules’." Kim suggested and I glanced at me as my mind pondered on his suggestion. It didn’t sound bad the more I think about it right now.
"You think so?" I asked and Kim nodded as he stroked the kitten again before dropping his hand.
"Of course. No one calls you Jules anymore and I kind of like that name. If you call it that, that name will live on for now." Kim explained and in a way, his explanation was very logical. I also liked that name and in a way, I’d never part ways with it because now it’s significant to me since I lived the most significant part of my life so far while answering that name.
"You know what? You’re right. I think I’ll really call him Jules." I informed Kim who instantly appeared pleased.
"That’s good. I approve of it." He breathed out and after a few seconds, we both laughed softly.
