Chapter 323: finally.
Kim’s pov
I suddenly jolted awake, springing up into a sitf bf position and at once, I knew something was off. The air was thick with a particular scent that I couldn’t put my fingers on, but after a few seconds, where I currently was slowly returned back to me. I glanced sideways at a writhing Labyrinth, and when the heat thick in the air rushed through my lungs, it hit me with the realization that labyrinth heat was finally here.
Oh shit. It’s finally here!
I couldn’t properly make out his face since the over light here in this room was the dim one that barely illuminated his face, but I could feel the heat oozing off his body in waves. He was as writhing around in his next, whimpering softly and clutching at a jacket that belonged to Blaze. I brushed his hair out of his face, taking in his body temperature. It was hot and would remain hot till his heat breaks.
He whimpered again, his voice filled with pain while he curled up into himself and I forced myself out of his nest, glancing around for the basket of fruits and flasks of water I had prepared for this heat, knowing they won’t be able to get much breaks in between. I positioned the basket and flasks beside the bedside table, and after taking one more look at labyrinth, I turned and exited the room.
He’d be put out of his mystery in no time.
Blaze was outside the door as soon as I stepped out and I got so startled, I let out a panicked squeal and inched backward till my back pressed against the door. Blaze looked like he was on the verge of losing control, his eyes darker than usual and a bit of his fangs peeking from his lips. He sized me up and down before grasping my collar and dragging me forward.
"I can smell my mate. I can feel him. He needs me." He growled darkly in a low voice and I stiffened even more, heart lurching. I gestured behind the door, wanting to tell him that he could finally go in and that I came out here to fetch him, but the words remained stuck in my throat just as he continued.
"I don’t care what you think. I’m going in right now." How continued before shoving me to the side, not giving me an opportunity to respond. After that, he wrenched the door open and stepped in, slamming it shut after him before I could say a thing.
