Chapter 305: Raine
Blaze’s pov
I held labyrinth in my arms, still suspended in the air long after my uncle completely burned away. I felt like I was still in some sort of trance, after I got almost too hurt to move, when I watched my mate dodging all my uncle’s attacks, even though he handled it incredibly well, it didn’t stop me from feeling worried throughout the whole thing.
I was still hurt when my mate began to fall in the air, and that was what prompted me to ignore the pain and dive straight into the air to prevent him from falling.
The plan I got in that moment had been half baked but I was glad it ended up working out. I let out a long exhale, eyes darting around at the people crying out from relief and joy now that their king was no more.
Still in my arms, my mate began to move his hands around, using magic to control that fire tornado that had sucked in a good amount of the people. I wasn’t sure of what he actually did to it, but it soon began to dissolve and after a few minutes of his hands continuously glowing while he kept his eyes trained on the tornado, it slowly disappeared fully and the amount of people that had gotten sucked into it began to fall, but their fall ended up getting broken up by my mate making a trampoline thingy underneath them that prevented that.
They soon began to sing my mate’s praises along with mine, voice echoing loudly as they kept bowing over and over, crying from how grateful they were.
I ended up lifting a hand, a sign for them to stop.
I motioned my sister over, and she was still trying to help an injured person up from the ground when all eyes panned towards her.
Labyrinth easily slipped out of my arms and I inched forward, meeting my sister halfway. I took her hand and lead us forward till we were hovering directly over the clan members.
