Blaze’s pov.
There had been a void within me in the last six months.
It had been deep and bottomless. It also reminded me of the same one I lost my mate in.
Or so I thought.
I glanced at him, he had his hands wrapped around me right now and his face tucked in my throat. He felt perfect against me, and I was certain there was nothing more perfect than this in the entire world. I couldn’t stop myself from leaning down to take a quick abode of his scent again, just to remind myself that he was real and that I wasn’t hallucinating.
In the past six months, I had hallucinated so much that I sometimes found it hard to differentiate imaginations from reality. The last six months had been nothing but torture to me.
After that day whereby I had transformed into my current form, I had thought he had died. That was why I ended up transforming into... this. Even though I had no idea I had this form in me the entire time.
Since I arrived at this mountain, it wasn’t like I forgot how to shift back to my human form, I just hadn’t been interested in becoming human again since the one person I loved was no longer alive.
