Chapter 284: A Risk

"He’s in mourning?" I echoed out, beyond confused as I stared at Raina. I had arrived here with Roy and Kim about ten minutes ago, and she had instantly ushered us in and offered us some tea and cookies, although I was unable to even sip at the tea, too strung up to do that.
I had been that way after the text she sent me. It has not only caught me off guard, it has been completely unexpected as well.
After we all returned from that tunnel, we searched for Blaze everywhere. We had even returned to the demon clan to ask Raina if her brother returned back here after changing into his final form, because Roy suggested he might have gone there since that might be a location his brain was more untuned with in his current situation. But he hadn’t been there.
We had been searching ever since.
After a few minutes of us arriving, she had begun to explain how her men who had been searching for her brother non stop finally stumbled upon him, deep in the mountains.
He wasn’t just living life there or anything else. Apparently, he was in mourning, and that made no sense to me.
Raina let out a small hum as she nodded, pushing her hair out of her face and I tried not to start too hard at her horns. They reminded me of Blaze’s horns, but hers looked like that of a baby compared to Blaze’s large ones.
"He’s in mourning." She confirmed and the frown on my face deepened just as she continued.
