Chapter 209: Trapped
Jules’ pov
"You don’t have anything on me." I told him, making to walk past him before he could respond but he blocked my path again.
"Even you don’t believe that. You already looked scared for someone who apparently has no secrets." He drawled and I breathed out slowly, trying to regulate my racing heartbeat.
"If you know my secret; go ahead and tell me." I snapped, breathing a little harder but he only laughed before shaking his head.
"I don’t think I need to do that, since you know exactly what I’m talking about." As he spoke, I instantly felt sick to my stomach as I watched his eyes twinkle dangerously.
Could he really know my secret? That I’m currently hiding away here and taking my identity? And that I’m actually a warlock. Could he really know any of that?
He couldn’t, could he?
"You’ve just outrightly proven that you’re nothing but a lowlife manipulator." I hurled at him before I could stop myself. When he reached out to touch my chin, I pulled away at once, eyes flashing at him with anger but he only chuckled.
"Really? You want us to do this right now? I’m the low life between the two of us... but at least I’m not faking my identity like some people." He drawled, voice growing lower at the end of his sentence and I felt the color slowly drain out of my face.
