Chapter 168: The Date pt.2
Jules’ pov
"What?" I blurted out, eyes widening in horror and utter disbelief. My heart instantly began to race and I stiffened at once.
I should’ve known something was gonna ruin this day. I should’ve known a day this perfect was gonna get ruined somehow no matter what.
Blaze hummed beside me as he sipped from his coffee again.
"Two men. They’ve been following us since we got tickets." He explained and my eyes widened even more.
"What? That long?" I demanded.
"I needed to be sure they were really following us." He explained and I let out a long sigh, feeling too drained all of a sudden.
I stared down at the rest of my ice cream, suddenly feeling too exhausted to eat the rest of it, and so I placed it beside my feet.
"So... what are we gonna do? Are we in danger?" I asked after a few minutes and Blaze snorted.
"Far from it. They didn’t seem like they’re here to harm us. They’re just here to tail us and report to someone from the looks of it." Blaze explained as he drank the rest of his coffee and threw the cup into the bin from his spot beside me. The bin was quite far, which made that very impressive.
I wasn’t the only one who found that impressive, a guy who was walking past with a little boy stopped to let a low whistle.
