Jules’ pov
"You’re being delusional, Landon." I snapped, feeling extremely irritated and also insanely jealous of the fact that he was outrightly admitting to wanting my man.
"I’m being realistic, honey. We both know who actually deserves Blaze between the two of us." He continued and I scoffed as I took a step away from him.
"I’m presented already. I come from an influential family. I’m quite powerful and you’re well, you’re just you. Unpresented, no worthy background, and a liability." As he spoke, even though I tried not to let his words get to me, some still managed to hit me right in the eye.
Does Blaze see me as a liability?
I silently asked myself as I tried not to let anything I was currently feeling become visible across my face, because that’s definitely gonna fuel Landon up even more.
I cleared my throat as I began to speak. "Well, Blaze wants me and not you. He’s being with me, liability and all. I guess that says a lot on its own, don’t you think so?" I hurled back at him in a calm voice.
He let out a growl and attempted to slap me in the next moment. "You bitch!"
I held his hand before it could collide with my face and then I shoved it away.
"Don’t hit me, Landon. Blaze isn’t gonna be pleased by that." I continued in the same voice and he scoffed again, looking extremely enraged.
"So you’re the reason he beat Xander up? Huh? You’re the reason he beat him up that he had to be taken out of school?"
