Chapter 140: Disbelief
Jules’ pov
"You didn’t have any idea he was two faced, don’t beat yourself up." Blaze spoke quietly beside me after a few moments.
I pressed my fingers against my eyes when the urge to cry multiplied. I hated how I had looked dumb, clueless and gullible to him this whole time.
I hated that he whooshed right into my life when I had been lost and had offered me a firm hand in order for me to completely trust him. I hated that I never even stopped to question anything about him, not until Blaze noticed something odd after I narrated the entire story to him.
I felt sick to my stomach all over again and in no time, I felt immense anger start to swell inside of me. Andrian preyed on my vulnerability and I suddenly wished I had my powers unsealed. Even though I couldn’t do much with it, I’d still be able to do something to him at least.
I exhaled slowly after a little while, dropping my hands as well and retrieving the phone from Blaze.
As I stared down at it, I wanted to smash it into the nearest wall right now, but I knew that if I did that, he’d just get another phone with a chip in it for me.
"What am I gonna do now?" I asked while peering at Blaze, feeling utterly lost and confused.
"You’re gonna have to keep acting clueless, and you’d have to keep that up until he reveals his own hand." He explained and he was undoubtedly right. That’s the only option I have right now.
