Chapter 138: A Sinking Feeling

I took one last look at the woman who was still sitting in the same spot. She was currently trying to act unfazed but I could see past the front she was trying to put on, probably because she got threatened to do just that.
When I glanced back at Andrian, he had an
Unreadable expression on. I exhaled slowly as I began to speak.
"I know you’ve put so much effort into this, Andrian, but I don’t want to try unsealing it any longer."
Andrian blinked slowly before letting out a sigh, and then he closed the distance between us and crouched before me.
"Why are you hellbent on not trying? This is for a great cause." He began as he moved closer to me. I tried my best not to let the uneasiness I was starting to feel get obvious.
"If you unseal your magic, you’d have a bigger chance at finding the murderers of your family, that’s something you’re always wanted from the very start, isn’t that right?" He continued and I hesitated before shaking my head in response.
"I’ve always wanted to unseal it, but not at the expense of people’s lives. My mother wouldn’t be happy if I do that, Anya wouldn’t be happy if I do that. I was raised by them to be a better someone than that." I explained, watching as he blinked slowly.
"Who’s Anya?" He questioned and I tilted my head sideways as I slowly responded.
"That’s my sister, Anya." I explain and he slowly nodded.
