Chapter 128: Suspicion and Doubts
Jules’ pov
I blinked again, almost feeling like I was in a trance. I struggled to gather my thoughts together because Blaze’s question had just scattered everything.
"He- he told me my mother alerted him on realizing that something was wrong." I finally responded on remembering how my first encounter with him had went.
Blaze hummed and nodded a couple of times.
"Did your mother ever spoke to you about him before?" He asked and I blinked slowly before shaking my head in response.
Now that I was thinking about it, she never mentioned Andrian for once to us before.
"She never did. B- but Andrian provided pictures of him and my mother when they were young." I supplied. The entire thing that happened that night had surfaced in my mind because I was thinking about it.
I could remember how scared I had been that day, how I hadn’t wanted to trust him until he proved that he indeed knew my mother before.
"What if they were once friends but ended up falling out? Because, if he is a trusted emergency contact of your mother, surely she was supposed to have mentioned him at least once to you. Don’t you think so?" Blaze asked and it slowly started to feel like I was being doused with cold water. My entire insides were swirling In nerves and worries. I bit on my bottom lip as I stared at Blaze while dread engulfed me in waves.
