Chapter 105: To Listen or To Not Listen?
Jules’ pov
I was in a very shitty mood when the cab I took pulled up in front of the large building the entire students still have about a week left to spend here.
Before we left school a week ago, I told myself I was gonna work really hard in trying to find out the actual murderers of my parents and the entire clan, and so far, I haven’t accomplished anything. It felt a sinking feeling in the middle of my chest, one which was weighting down on me heavily.
As I alighted the car, I let out a resigned sigh. The plastic bag containing a new pack of scent blockers and a brand new phone was carefully clutched in my second hand. Like Andrian had promised, he handed me a new phone before I left, one which he had already set up for me.
I took that avenue to thank him profusely for everything that he had done for me so far and he reassured me that it was alright and that it was what my mother would have done for his child if he suddenly got murdered with his child still being alive.
When Andrian discovered that the phone I had been temporarily using for now actually belonged to Blaze, he instantly grew skeptical and went ahead to check if there was some sort of listening chip in the phone.
Turns out that there was nothing in it.
"I just don’t trust him, or anyone for that matter. Anyone can be the enemy now, so we can’t be completely sure." He said to me as he handed the phone back to me and I swallowed emptily in that moment; because I still refused to believe that Blaze had some ulterior motive the entire time.
It just didn’t make any sense to me.
