Chapter 88: In His Presence
Jules’ pov
I wasn’t sure of when I actually fell asleep. The last thing I remembered was feeling like I was floating in a bed of clouds before everything blacked out around me.
As I slowly blinked my eyes open, everything that happened right before I passed out rushed through every inch of my brain and I let out a small gasp of indignation. I sucked in a sharp breath, unable to believe all that happened between Blaze and I.
It felt like his mouth had been on fire as it teased into places it had no business being in.
Thinking about how he had made me fall apart with his mouth was enough to make me let out a long breath as I gingerly sat up in the bed, which was empty, but still smelling so strongly of Blaze.
Our mixed scents filled the air and I loved how it brought forth a completely different scent once tangled together.
I was completely naked underneath the sheet, and I felt my cheeks flush in embarrassment. I slowly glanced around the room, wondering where Blaze was at as I slipped out of the bed, taking the sheets along with me because there’s no way I’d be caught walking naked across a room.
I stepped into the bathroom and took a quick shower, feeling giddy and lightheaded as I washed off. Despite how much I scrubbed off, blaze’s scent still strongly clung to every inch of my body, and I loved that so much, for reasons I can’t even explain.
As I toweled off, I stood before the mirror and stared at my reflection. My blue eyes appeared lighter than I remembered and I wondered if it was because of the contact lenses I have in my eyes most of the time.
The roots of my hair was starting to grow out even more, reminding me that I needed to retouch the roots with dye as soon as possible.
I turned away from the mirror and stepped out of the bathroom, and then I gasped, eyes widening and towel slipping from my grip because Blaze suddenly appeared in front of me out of thin air, completely catching me off guard.
