Blaze’s FIRST pov (can I get a woohoo?!)
I could tell that Jules was currently in danger.
I’ve been able to tell since the first time our eyes met across the swimming area, whereby that activity ended with him almost getting drowned after getting submerged by Malachi. I felt his panic that day, raw and powerful. It had caught me off guard that day, because that had been a completely new emotion for me.
Of course, I had walked out of the scene because I wasn’t one to feel pity for anyone, and also because it had been none of my business.
I wasn’t one to randomly concern myself with anything or anyone to begin with. I had been like that since I could remember. My father had always made sure to remind me that I was so different from everyone because I was an abomination and a mistake.
Which was why it surprised me to the fullest when the image of that boy who looked lost and extremely frightened after our eyes locked, refused to leave my head.
It pleased me immensely to be reminded every now and then that I evoke so much terror in people. After all, It was the only thing I had, so why not exploit it to the fullest?
So, of course, I liked that the boy was obviously afraid of me. But it wasn’t something new, which was why it confused me as to why he refused to leave my head.
When we crossed paths again, the stark terror was present on his face, and I liked it.
