Chapter 54: Inconvenient Situations
Jules’ pov
I wouldn’t be staying away from Kai just because Blaze asked me to though. I mean, am I supposed to?
Kai has been nice to me since I could remember. He has always looked out for me every damn time, and so far, he’s the nicest predator I’ve encountered in the entire school.
And Blaze claimed he was dangerous.
Thinking about it right now made me realize how ironic and ridiculous that statement sounded.
"Here you go, Jules." Kai called out, pulling me out of my thoughts. He was holding out a cup of coffee to me, one which I accepted with a small smile.
"Thank you." I breathed out as I took a sip of the caffeine.
"Of course. Do you feel better?" He inquired, sounding and looking genuinely worried.
And this is the person Blaze claimed was dangerous?
It didn’t even seem logical for Blaze to think he can dictate who I can see and not see. Although, I’m certain I’d never be able to say those words to his face because well, he was Blaze, the same one who had effortlessly controlled a bunch of predators in my presence, without any effort. One whose name is enough to cast fear upon anyone.
While I’m just, well... I’m just a magic-less Labyrinth, or in this case, a helpless, spineless Jules.
