The travelers pressed on, traversing numerous perilous stretches, but under the experienced guidance of Lao Cai, they encountered no hitches along the way.
By evening, the exploration team had ventured deep into the mountains, and they could occasionally hear the roars of wild beasts, stirring up a sense of fear within.
