Chapter 224: A Romantic Evening
"Have you had a bath?" Jephthah asked.
"Not yet. Just washed my face. Why do you ask?" She was making the bed while he sat on the comfy couch in the room, picking at something invisible on his knee with a flushed face.
"I want to take a bath." He replied, not glancing up once.
"Okay... the bathroom’s free." She chuckled at his cuteness.
"No I mean... " He suddenly glanced up and that’s when Talia turned. "I want us to."
She stopped breathing for a second and her eyes slightly widened before she discovered her throat had run dry of any saliva. She swallowed.
"Want us to...?"
"Shower together." He replied without missing a best nor breaking eye contact, but when she said nothing but stared back at him, he suddenly got up, his face, red.
"Um.. y- you don’t have to really. I’m sorry I even asked. I shouldn’t have suggested that.. "
"Are you embarassed to see my body?" She teased him.
"N- No. That’s not what I mean."
