Standing in the garden, facing each other with smiles and eyes glassy from tears, only the three men, accompanied by the bright moon and twinkling stars above were exclusive witnesses to the union.
Jephthah stood In between them, holding up a paper which he had scribbled something on, ready to read, clearing his throat awkwardly.
Royce and John, the only audience they had were seated on the log of wood.
"Come on, Jephthah." John urged with furrowed brows.
"I don’t think I wrote this properly. It’s missing something or otherwise... " Jephthah mumbled and John face palmed himself.
"Okay wait .. wait... I’ve seen the problem." With that, he pulled the cap of his pen and cancelled something written there before clearing his throat, glancing up at the two lovers who were lost in each other’s eyes before announcing in a clear, loud, audible voice.
"Today, we have gathered to witness the union of Beta Raiden of Crescent Moon’s pack and Liliana Diego of Crescent Moon’s pack."
He turned to Raiden who still had his eyes in Liliana’s. Anyone watching from afar would think it was just a ridiculous play going on in the middle of the night.
Raiden was in a matching nightie, disheveled hair, and drunken eyes, and Liliana was in a robe, flipflops, hair pulled up in a messy bun, and her face was bare of makeup.
"Beta Raiden," Jephthah gestured to Liliana. "Do you take Liliana Diego as your wedded wife to have and hold from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poor, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death do you two apart, according to Selena’s ordinance; there unto pledge your faith."
