With that, he got up, twirling his car keys.
"Get done with that stuff and meet me outside later. We’re heading out today, you know?" With that, he picked the files off the ground and placed them on the table before leaving, giving his younger cousin no chance to disagree.
As Barton made his way down, he found Dora curled on the sitting room couch munching on a snack while writing something on her notebook, the voice of a formal person explaining something sounding off the laptop before her.
He stood behind her for a minute and watched what she was doing with a sneer on his face. After a while, he bent over the couch so that his head was side by side with hers before abruptly removing the earpiece she had in her ear.
"Huh? Da... " Her smile fell and she yanked her earpiece pack. "What do you want?"
"You’re doing it wrong." He motioned to her book.
She looked back at her notebook before staring back at him with a smug look on her face.
"And how would you know?"
"Because I’m good at math."
"Oh please. You’re no smarter than me."
He crossed over and went round the couch, coming to sit beside her, leaving no room for her to adjust thereby, they sat very close to each other with no space between them but a thin barrier of their clothes.
