Chapter 489 : Time To Rest
Upon his return to the Golden Dragon Palace, Zhang Fengxi was laid in the Silver Mist Pavilion to enable the palace physicians to take care of him.
After waking up from coma and fighting valiantly against the Demonic Realm, the Supreme General fell into another coma, one that lasted for days.
"The good news is that the Supreme General’s body is healing properly. No abnormalities detected with his meridians, all his organs are functioning well. The stab injuries are healing slowly, and the injuries from the lightning punishment too have stopped flaring up," the eldest physician said. He was a lot happier now that he did not have to share a grim prognosis with the Heavenly Emperor.
Alas, Xie Jianshen remained unimpressed.
"Then why is he still in a coma?" The Emperor glared at the poor physician, who had to swallow his nervosity many times before giving a reply.
"Y-your Majesty, the Supreme General is recuperating from severe injuries, certainly it will require some time before he opens his eyes again."
Xie Jianshen scoffed in response.
"He can still recuperate when he’s awake. This coma is rather disconcerting."
The three physicians exchanged nervous looks with each other. Surely the Heavenly Emperor would not do something as atrocious as forcing the Supreme General out of his coma again???
Xie Jianshen stared at Zhang Fengxi’s sleeping form for a while before he shook his head and turned on his heel.
Walking away, he only had one more instruction to give, "Take good care of him. Give me a daily report on his condition."
