Chapter 188 : The End Of The Competition
Xie Jianshen was tidying up his medicine supplies inside the Fuxi Palace’s tent when Xie Jianyu returned. He immediately recognized that something was amiss just by looking at Xie Jianyu’s dark complexion.
"Little Yu, what happened?" The elder omega took his younger brother’s hand and led him to sit on a long couch.
"It was nothing."
Xie Jianyu fiddled with the box of medicine that Xie Jianshen had given him previously.
"Little Yu, did Zhang Fengxi refuse to take the medicine?" Xie Jianshen asked, a little stunned at the rejection.
Zhang Fengxi had been generous enough to spare some of the Grand Tutor’s antidote to save Jiang Muchen, so Xie Jianshen felt compelled to extend his gratitude. He prepared a box full of medicine that was very effective in healing sword cuts. It was a special brew that Xie Jianshen concocted only for his younger brother’s usage.
Xie Jianyu offered to take the medicine to Zhang Fengxi, but the omega returned with the same box of medicine, its contents still intact.
"Mmm... he no longer needs it," Xie Jianyu said in a hesitant tone.
"Little Yu, what exactly happened between you and Zhang Fengxi?" Xie Jianshen assumed that they had another argument.
The younger omega looked up at his elder brother with glassy eyes.
"It’s nothing," he said again. "Liu Wenyuan was with him. I heard his voice when I stood in front of Zhang Fengxi’s tent."
