Chapter 74: Promotion
“...Huh?”
Just after sending my letter to the Lady and getting ready to head out, I stepped outside the mansion and stopped in my tracks at the sight before me.
“Why is everyone outside...?”
For some reason, every single servant in the Ringaarden estate was standing outside in the garden, neatly lined up on either side of the path.
“It’s nothing special. I ordered it.”
“...Cecil?”
As I looked around in confusion, Cecil approached me with a smile, having followed me out without me noticing.
“What do you think? Doesn’t it feel like the pride of House Ringaarden?”
Admittedly, the sight of all the mansion’s staff bowing their heads in two perfect rows was quite a spectacle.
But still—this wasn’t a triumphal procession. Wasn’t it a bit much just for going out?
“When the Hero and current head of the household leaves the estate, the servants should go this far.”
“Uh, well...”
