Chapter 107: Towards a Bright New Beginning (1)
“T-That Villain! He’ll rot in the dungeon for the rest of his life! It was so refreshing to see his despairing face, My Lady, you should have seen it!”
“I don’t care about that, Marien, just having you back is more than enough for me. But...How did you survive?”
“...I don’t know, My Lady. When I opened my eyes, I was in the infirmary.”
“Did father really assign you his personal physician?”
“I think it’s because I’m the only witness to the incident, right?”
While Lumia and Marien were preparing lunch and catching up on piled-up stories, we decided to take a break and each went to our rooms to rest.
“Phew, I think I deserve a good rest now, eh?”
Thud.
I threw my heavy body onto the bed. I ended up staying up all night without a wink of sleep.
I should get a good night’s sleep, at least for the grand celebration party starting with lunch.
Although my body and mind are tired to the limit, the reason I still feel refreshed is probably because of the sense of accomplishment that I, too, have settled all the bad ties and completely saved the Heroine, Lumia.
