That was the command Alpha's father had drilled into him ever since he first began to grasp the world around him.

'Hate the angels.'

Why?

As a child, Alpha had sometimes wondered.

Weren't angels supposed to be benevolent beings?

A faint flicker of doubt had stirred within him.

But his father's voice had been unyielding.

'Angels are wicked creatures that defiled the mortal world.'

'They seek to taint the land by corrupting the Twelve Divine Moons that guard it.'

Eventually, Alpha's doubts faded.
