The ability to summon enemies endlessly was incredibly troublesome. Without any complex rituals or visible effort, Adam could call forth monsters, and he showed no signs of exhaustion at all.
Even as Red thinned their numbers, even more appeared in their place—far greater in volume.
During the prolonged battle, Red’s stamina was slowly—very slowly—being drained.
Adam was right. For now, she had the upper hand, but the longer this fight dragged on, the more the tide would turn against her.
Facing a constant flood of enemies would wear down not just an average person, but even seasoned fixers—both physically and mentally.
And yet, even in a situation that could drive someone to madness from sheer despair—
Red’s eyes never gave up.
Her crimson gaze burned even brighter with hope, and her lips curled into a faint, confident smile.
Good thing he’s an arrogant idiot.
There’s no such thing as perfection.
No matter how absolute a power may seem, it always has a weakness. And Adam’s ability was no exception.
But Adam seemed entirely unaware of that fatal flaw.
