Los Angeles Legendary Sleuth

Chapter 1411 - 666: Tracking (Part 2)

In a black SUV, Little Black peered out the window, muttering, "Only God knows how much I wish my daughter could grow up in a community like this."

Jackson said, "Good communities have high housing prices, you might consider renting a place."

Little Black rarely didn't argue back, and said seriously, "I'll consider it."

The black SUV slowly stopped by the roadside, and Luke and the other two got out of the car. In front of them was a three-story building, with a tall pine tree planted on the left side of the yard, and a white BMW X6 parked in front of the garage on the right.

"It's right there, looks like we came to the right place." Little Black pointed at the white BMW X6, then instructed Jackson beside him, "What are you waiting for, go knock on the door."

Jackson walked to the gate and pressed the video intercom.

After a while, the video intercom turned on, and a man's voice sounded, "Hello, who are you looking for?"

"Is this Radke Dommer's house?"

"I am Radke Dommer."

"I'm Detective Jackson Beach from the Robbery and Murder Department. We're investigating a case and would like your help with our inquiry."

"Wow... I don't remember being involved in any case, could you be mistaken?"

"I hope it's a mistake, too.

We'd better talk in person to clarify things."

There was a moment of silence from the other side, "Hold on."

After a while, the gate opened, and Luke and his group of three walked into the yard.

Luke and Jackson headed towards the front door, while Little Black walked towards the white BMW X6.

Little Black walked around the BMW, peering inside the windows briefly, and only headed to the front door upon hearing it open.

A white man walked out of the house, looking at Jackson and the others, asking, "Are all three of you officers?"

"That's right," Jackson introduced, "This is Captain Li from our Robbery and Murder Department."

The white man stared at Luke for a moment, "I think I've seen you on TV.

My name's Radke Dommer, I'm a doctor, and I've never done anything illegal.

Captain Li, perhaps you've got it wrong?"

Luke said, "Mr. Radke Dommer, no need to be nervous, just answer a few questions for me."

"OK."

"Do you know Mr. Henrik Laurie?"

"The name rings a bell..." Radke Dommer thought for a moment, "Oh, I remember, he's the missing governor candidate. I saw it on the news this morning."

"That's right. Have you ever met him?"

"No, we've never crossed paths."

"Last night, were you at the Four Seasons Hotel?"

"I was on shift at the Malco Community Hospital last night, the nurse there can confirm it."

Luke nodded, then pointed to the white BMW X6, "Is the car in the yard yours?"

"Of course, I bought it half a year ago. Is there a problem?"

"Did anyone drive it last night?"

"Not that I know of."

"Apart from you, is there anyone else who can access the car keys?"

"Can I know what's happened to my car?"

"Please just answer my question first."

"My girlfriend."

"What's her name?"

"Sharan Sunda."

"Where is she?"

Radke Dommer turned back, looking into the house...

Soon, Luke saw Sharan Sunda in the dining room, preparing afternoon tea.

She was a young lady with brown hair, wearing black-framed glasses, tall and with an intellectual aura.

Sharan Sunda looked at Luke and the others, a bit surprised, "Honey, are these your friends?

Our snacks are a bit short.

But it's okay, I can slice some fruit."

Luke showed his badge, "Miss, no need to worry, we're not here for afternoon tea.

We're the police."

Sharan Sunda was a bit surprised, looking at Radke Dommer, "Honey, why are there police at your house?"

Radke Dommer shook his head, "Sharan, they're here for you."

"For me, why?"

Luke asked, "Miss Sharan Sunda, did you drive the white BMW X6 last night?"

Sharan Sunda trembled slightly, put down the tray in her hand, and looked towards Radke Dommer, "Honey, I'd like to talk to them alone."

Radke Dommer hesitated, looking at Sharan Sunda, then glanced at Luke and the others.

Sharan Sunda came over, grabbing his arm, "You go back to the bedroom first, I'll tell you later."

Radke Dommer nodded and went up the stairs.

Watching Radke Dommer go upstairs, Sharan Sunda took off her apron, still a little uneasy, "Let's talk outside."

The four of them came to the yard, and Luke asked, "Miss Sunda, you know why we're here, right."

Sharan Sunda licked her lips, "Give me a cigarette."

Little Black handed her a cigarette and lit it for her.

"Thank you." Sharan Sunda took a drag and slowly said, "Originally, I wasn't sure, but I saw the news this morning about him staying at the Four Seasons Hotel, and now that you're here...

I'm sure he's Henrik Laurie."

"Where is Henrik Laurie?"

"I don't know, I'm not familiar with him."

"If you're not familiar with him, why did you drive to the Four Seasons Hotel to pick him up last night?"

Sharan Sunda took a deep drag of the cigarette, "I can tell you, but you have to keep it a secret for me, especially not let my boyfriend know."

"We can."

"Also, I want an immunity agreement."

"If it doesn't involve a criminal case, I can agree to that."

"I'm an escort, he found my profile online, paid a deposit, then called me to drive to the Four Seasons Hotel to pick him up.

Then, we completed the transaction in the car."

"Did he act unusual during that time?"

"No."

"Did you recognize his identity at the time?"

Sharan Sunda shook her head, "No, I don't care about those politicians at all."

"Where did he go after the transaction?"

"He said he wanted to invite me for a drink at a bar.

I refused, I just completed the transaction, and wasn't planning to get emotionally involved.

Then, he got off at the entrance of Nasim Bar.

I just drove back home." Sharan Sunda glanced at the house, lowered her voice, "I swear, I have nothing to do with his disappearance."

"At what time did you go to pick him up?"

"I should have arrived at the Four Seasons Hotel after midnight."

"What time did he get out of the car?"

"Before two o'clock."

"What time did you get home?"

"Around two thirty."

"Did you go anywhere else afterward?"

"I didn't go anywhere, just stayed at home and slept."

Luke stared at her, not detecting any obvious signs of lying.

Luke handed her a business card, "If you remember any new clues, make sure to contact me."

Sharan Sunda breathed a sigh of relief, "I will."

Little Black curiously asked, "Your boyfriend is a doctor, he should have a lot of money, why do you work as an escort?"

"As you said, my boyfriend is rich, but I have no money.

I can't keep asking him for it, and if I did, he might not even stay with me.

I don't want to do this either, but I haven't graduated yet, and I need money."
