Chapter 238 - 230: Possessiveness
Bella Woods wasn’t sure if Oliver Hughes had seen Ashton Marshall come out, and maintained a calm facade.
"How long have you been waiting for me here?" Bella Woods took the initiative to ask.
Oliver Hughes thought for a moment: "Not long. I just noticed you hadn’t appeared, and was thinking maybe you’d left. Then I heard people gossiping about a man and a woman slipping into the bathroom one after the other."
As Oliver Hughes spoke nonchalantly, he moved closer to Bella Woods until he stood right in front of her, staring intently at her.
Bella Woods had been quite nervous, but with what Oliver Hughes said, she was essentially sure that he only knew she was with a man in the bathroom and probably didn’t know that man was Ashton Marshall.
"Isn’t there anything you want to say to me, or anything to argue?" Oliver Hughes asked, looking at Bella Woods.
"No." Bella Woods was very straightforward.
Although she disliked the word ’indiscreet,’ her relationship with Ashton Marshall was inherently questionable. While the term sounds unpleasant, it’s somewhat fitting.
Besides, for someone like Oliver Hughes, who uses such a term, any argument from Bella Woods would just be seen as an excuse.
So there was no need to waste efforts trying to explain.
"Bella Woods, in front of me now, you feel there’s no need to pretend at all?" Oliver Hughes stared at her in shock.
