Chapter 187: Take Harsh Measures, Teach the Rude Younger Brother a Lesson
Bella Woods stepped into the Woods Family home.
Just as she looked at the living room, she saw Jade Patel coming out of the kitchen wearing an apron, calling to the maid, "Nanny Woods, where are the shrimp I bought at the market this morning? My son loves the shrimp I make, come help me with it."
"Nanny Woods, where did you put Elliot’s favorite chessboard for me! This kid, first thing when he gets back he wants to play chess with me," Ron Woods hurriedly shouted as he came down the stairs.
Nanny Woods, unsure whom to respond to first, could only walk towards the kitchen and shout back to Ron Woods, "Master, the chessboard is well-placed in the second drawer of your study. Go check first, if you can’t find it, I’ll get the shrimp ready for madam and then come up to help you look."
Bella Woods stood at the door, unnoticed by either Jade Patel or Ron Woods, including the household staff of the Woods Family.
Yet to Bella Woods, the usually stern and irritable Ron Woods behaved just now like an anxious child searching for his toy, afraid he wouldn’t find the chessboard and Elliot wouldn’t want to play with him.
Envious?
Bella Woods was indeed envious.
She once deeply envied this, thinking if she just behaved a little better, if she played the role of a good sister a little more, her parents would treat her the way they treated Rose Woods and Elliot.
But she was foolish; the names of the three siblings had already said it all.
